In today’s trading session, market activity on the Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE) Regular and Junior Markets resulted in 28 stocks trading of which 19 advanced, 6 declined and 3 traded firm. The JSE Market Index gained 168.41 points or (0.18%) to close at 96,071.84 points, while the JSE Select Index advanced by 6.67 points or (0.23%) to close at 2,929.56 points. The All Jamaican Composite moved 279.90 points or (0.27%) higher to close at 103,329.41 points. Meanwhile, the JSE Junior Market Index gained 10.59 points or (1.40%) to close at 766.57 points. Further, the JSE USD Equities Index closed at 82.13 points.  The JSE Combined Index gained 215.88 points or (0.22%) to close at 97,979.09 points. The movement in the JSE Market Index emanated from 12.83% and 2.11% appreciation in the share prices of Caribbean Cement Company (CCC) and Desnoes & Geddes (DG), respectively. Meanwhile, the JSE Junior Market Index was impacted by a 7.38% appreciation in the share price of Dolphin Cove Limited (DCOVE). Read more...
